Social Security Disability
Social Security Disability (SSD) is a statutory and regulatory Federal program for injured and disabled individuals. You could have a Social Security Disability Claim based upon an injury or disease or other medical conditions. There is no requirement that your physical or mental condition result from an accident or from work.
Some people meet Social Security Disability standards due to breathing problems, skin disorders, or severe arthritis. More common are back injuries that limit a person’s ability to sit or stand, or head injuries that impair a person’s mental abilities, such as concentrating and focusing.
